Hello Jo-Ann, I think we can take care of you, but the best way to set an appointment is to come by and discuss the tattoo first to line up a date, price, artwork, and artist. Both Neal and Mark will have availability for those days most likely. But the best way to guarantee it is to come by and set the appointment. There is usually a deposit takien for a ll appointments that go towards the price of the tattoo. If it is because you live out of state and this would be difficult for you, then you should call the shop and ask to speak to one of the artist you have already chosen. I hope this has help and thanks for everything.

How much would it cost, to get my knuckles tattooed?

    • Mark says: August 30, 201112:52 am

Hello Jarvis, The cost of your knuckles all depends on size, detail, how many, and much more. If you are wanting a proper quote I would suggest coming in and seeing the portfolio’s, choosing an artist , discussing the artwork in your case lettering, and then a quote will be given. Ihope this has helped and sorry for the delay but you were in our spam pile, but now you are not. Thanks and for any other questions call the shop or come by. Thanks

You would need to come in for an estimate because it all depends on style, size, how many knuckles, and much more. base price for all 8 fingers without thumbs $100 then it goes up. Stop by for an accurate quote and to see an artist to chat about your next kick ass tattoo.

Neal has done a simple tattoo for me in the past. its on my wrist. i was wondering what your base charges would be per hour. i know every tattoo is different but just as an estimate?

    Faith

    • Mark says: September 6, 20111:33 pm

Hello Faith. The base charge per hour depends on the artist and if it is a tattoo that is multiple sessions. Unless you are getting multiple sessions like a sleeve or a back piece or anything that will require you coming in more than once, we rarely charge per hour for single visit tattoos. Plus the best way to get an accurate quote is to contact Neal and have a consultation with him. I hope this has been helpful for all other questions it would be easier to call for more info on hourly rates and such. Thanks

Just was in to get my naval done today! Great place, at most tattoo shops I feel out of place. Your staff made me feel at home. I think Lee should have a portfolio page, bc hes amazing!!! I was so scared when I came in, and his breathing method helped me a lot. Planning on telling all my friends to go to Oak City for all their tattoos and piercings!!!

    • Mark says: February 8, 20123:25 pm

Thanks for the compliment on our staff and on Lee. We are very happy about having him here with us. He’ll have a portfolio at some point I’m sure. Thank you once again for your business and trust. Ciao!

I have not been to this locale, but Mark has done about 15 hours of freehand on me, and I won’t go elsewhere while the man still breathes. Top notch!

    • Mark says: March 10, 201212:42 pm

Mr. Lucas thank you and call me again I misplaced your number. I’ll be here for a longtime, so come on by and check out the new shop… I think you’re going to love it. And we need to finish that 9 tailed fox japanese sleeve.

I had a blast today getting my leg tattooed. Marco did an AMAZING job, much much more detailed than any other place who would have done my ink. He was quick, funny, and as gentle as you can get with needles. When other’s ask me about my tattoo I will proudly say where and who did it. I”m happy with the result and I look forward to many more trips to Oak City. Thank you so much Marco!!!

We as well as Marco appreciate this comment and would love to have you back anytime. That is exactly what we are going for at Oak City Tattoo… Good tattoos, for good folks, for a good price and atmosphere. Once again glad to hear you had a good time and thanks again for the kind and awesome words.

I want to give a wicked shout out to Marco! He is an amazing and talented artist, and I’m so lucky that he was recommended to me by a friend! He is honest and clear about what you can expect from the design you choose, and he’s realistic about the outcome. He’ll tell you straight whether it will look good or not, and, when it comes to permanent body modification, that is invaluable. He’s done work on me twice now — new ink as well as a touch up from about 10 years ago — and I couldn’t be happier with both. I’m looking forward to coming back soon to get another tat touched up as well as exploring more ink. Thanks so much, Marco!!

I am looking to get a tattoo done. I am not sure if it is something anyone there would be willing to do. It is an artsy piece, as it is a modified starry night. I’m not sure if it is because it’s kind of cliche or what, but no one really seems interested in doing it. I am of course totally willing to come down and speak with someone, but just wanted to see if there is anyone even actually interested in the piece first.

    • Mark says: March 30, 20122:58 pm

      Hello FunJessi,

Im sure one of us would be interested. It is always best when looking for a new tattoo artist to go by shops and look at their portfolio’s and try and pick out an artist that would suit your likings. We are open everyday but sunday 1-9. Come on by and check it out.
